How many steps are there to climb Trichy Rockfort temple and is there lift access for seniors?
I am planning to bring my elderly parents to Rockfort Temple this Saturday. Do they have elevator facilities or steps-only access? What is the recommended time for a comfortable climb?

There are exactly 437 stone steps to reach the Ucchi Pillayar temple at the top of Rockfort. The climb is fully covered and has multiple resting landings. There is NO lift or elevator facility available for the top shrine. Best time to climb is early morning (6 AM - 8 AM) or evening after 5 PM when the steps are cool.
