Planning a weekend drive to Yercaud. Heard reports about minor landslides and water log blocks on the 20-hairpin bend road. How is the current road surface and lighting?

The Salem-Yercaud Ghat Road is mostly well-maintained, but driving after 8 PM during heavy rain is not recommended due to heavy mist and slippery patches at the 11th and 18th hairpin bends. Carry working fog lights and drive at a steady speed of 30-40 km/h. Roads are monitored by local checkpoints.
