How do I file an FIR if police refuse to register it?
Verified Citizen Answer & Procedure
You have the statutory right to have your FIR registered for cognizable offences. If refused: (1) File online at eservices.tnpolice.gov.in. (2) Visit or send complaint by registered post to Superintendent of Police (SP). (3) Approach Judicial Magistrate under CrPC Section 156(3).
