A dangerous cluster of potholes on Kamarajar Salai near Meenakshi College, Madurai has been damaging vehicles and causing injuries to commuters for over a month with no action from authorities. Problem description: - Location: Kamarajar Salai, 200 metres before Meenakshi College main gate - At least 6 potholes in a 50-metre stretch, deepest measuring 8 inches - Students and college staff on two-wheelers most affected - Three tyre punctures and one fall reported in the past two weeks - Problem worsens after rain as water fills the potholes hiding their depth Root cause: The road was dug for TWAD underground pipeline work 6 weeks ago. After completing the pipeline, the road was not properly restored — only loose soil was filled without any asphalt overlay.
