Correction: Navarathri, Saraswathi Puja and Vijayadasami 2026 Correct Dates
An earlier TN Today article stated incorrect dates for Navarathri 2026 — the correct dates per TN Government GO are: Navarathri begins October 11, Saraswathi Puja and Ayudha Puja on October 19 (Monday, public holiday), Vijayadasami on October 20.
Why this matters to Tamil Nadu
Families, students, and employers planning for Saraswathi Puja school holiday, Ayudha Puja vehicle worship, and Vijayadasami Vidyarambham ceremonies need the exact correct government-confirmed dates — incorrect dates can lead to wrong travel plans, missed temple visits, or confusion about school holidays. The Tamil Nadu government's official holiday list (G.O.(Ms.) No.708, Public Department, November 2025) is the authoritative source and confirms October 19 for Ayudha Puja and October 20 for Vijayadasami.
