Why this matters to Tamil Nadu
Navarathri is Tamil Nadu's most widely celebrated festival across all communities — the nine-night festival of the Goddess is observed in virtually every household with a Golu display, and Vijayadasami is one of the most auspicious days of the Tamil year for beginning new activities, enrolling in courses, and purchasing vehicles or assets. Searches for Navarathri 2026 dates, Saraswathi Puja day, school holiday, and Vijayadasami traditions spike sharply from this week through October 11. This guide serves as a one-stop reference for Tamil Nadu families planning their festival.
