TANGEDCO Power Cuts Today Sep 16: St Thomas Mount, Tambaram, Korattur, Royapuram
Scheduled maintenance outages from 9 AM to 2 PM today affect major Chennai residential and commercial areas — here are the exact areas and what to do.
Why this matters to Tamil Nadu
Scheduled power cuts during working hours affect home-based workers, students in online classes, small businesses, and residents dependent on medical equipment. Knowing in advance which areas are affected, exactly when power will return, and who to call if it does not return on time is practical civic information that directly helps residents manage their day. TANGEDCO's scheduled maintenance cuts are distinct from the unscheduled cuts caused by the current 3,000 MW demand deficit — these are planned, with a confirmed restoration time.
